Sif fought the words, slight grimace rising as she tried to speak decently. “He is dear to Thor and his family even after all that has passed. Things are not…so simple in my world. And it is not to say there is not hope that in a century or two…” she did not full believe her words. But there was duty there and even she would not over shelter a child of theirs from Loki.
She glanced down and blinked away her concerns over Loki. “Thanos is separate matter,” she said slowly. “I fear more that some other dark power will rise in his place, though his own soul rising is still a possibility perhaps. I have taken what precaution I could in to stop that matter, anything else is fate.”
“Family is complicated that way.” Kelsey gave a small private smile. She was thinking of her own parents when she said that. The secrets they kept from her that she only learned after her father’s death and her mother’s disappearance. “I can understand that while Loki has done horrible things that Thor still loves him… after all I still love my own mother even now that I know the truth of her.”
Letting out a slow breath Kelsey focused on Sif’s words about Thanos. It sent a chill through her to think the titan could possible rise again or another power could rise out of the vacuum created by his death. “I understand… the universe has a way of balancing out unfortunately that includes a new dark force rising to balance out the one that was extinguished.”

“Honestly? He has never ceased, he has never backtrod, except in what I can only in retrospect call acts to dissuade us,” she said. The truth of it, or at least her belief in that interpretation, settled heavy on her shoulders. “Thor holds much hope for his brother’s reformation but I see much less that I feel can be trusted,” Sif explained with a small shake of head. She found her voice dropping a shade. There was regret hard to avoid when she spoke that truth of her hearts. For Thor’s sake she always wanted to see Loki redeemed, yet her own soul could not believe so fully.
“He does know, we’ve spoken on the matter and it weighs heavy on him. After certain events this year I think even he is having trouble with reconciling the brother he loves with the man who does…well,” the tiredness and dismissal passed voer her fatures, “All the evils he does,” she pronounced. “We know not how long before he returns but we both believe firm that he will.”
“That is too bad.” Kelsey sighed with a shake of her head. “Ullr seemed very fond of Loki for all of his faults, maybe that is his father’s influence.”
She didn’t know why he did these things but to waste what knowledge he had and his power was a shame. “So what of Thanos? Will he… resurrect as well?”
